How to Determine Your Face Shape
Almost everything you read in a magazine or anywhere else, asks you to determine your face shape in order to determine which hair style looks good on you, which colors, etc. For the longest time, I couldn’t figure out myface shape no matter how hard I tried! I wasn’t sure if it was oval or diamond shaped, so I decided to figure out exactly what each face shape entitled. So here is a little glossary on the different type of face shapes. Hope it helps!
Curvilinear shape. Length is equal to one and a half times width, with forehead and jaw the same width. So think of the oval face shape as an egg.

Must-Have Trend: The Motorcycle Jacket
If there’s one trend you cannot ignore this upcoming spring it’s gotta be the motorcycle jacket. Not only is this piece very trendy, but it’s also extremely versatile, badass, and just really fun to wear.
Motorcycle jackets have actually made a huge comeback from the 80s but with a much more modern twist. They’re very tailored, so they look great on everyone…just as long as you get one that fits you properly. Here are some things to look out for when buying a motorcycle jacket:
The fit – make sure it’s not too tight and not too lose. One sure-way is to look at the shoulders…if they’re too low, then the jacket is too big. And if the cut is too high then the jacket is too small.
Motorcycle jackets look best when they sit at the hip or even a little higher.
Studs, zippers, and little embellishments are a must for a biker jacket.
But one of the things I love most about motorcycle jackets is that they are very easy to wear. Just throw it on to almost any outfit, and your look is instantly transformed (plus it doesn’t hurt to feel like you can actually kick some ass with this jacket on!).
My favorite look though? Skinny jeans with a pair of boots and a biker jacket does the trick every time!

Fab Looks from Carven, Autumn 2011
Guillaume Henry is really making a name for himself at Carven, and this season he proved their success by hosting his first catwalk show as part of Paris Fashion Week. The collection was typical of the label as it was very young with fun elements and cut out detail. This season, Henry introduced a touch of tartan along with embellished shoulders and fur adorned arms. You can watch the whole show here. Let me know what you think!

2011 Fall Paris Fashion Week: Louis Vuitton
Marc Jacobs goes all out with a theme, and this season was no exception. Louis Vuitton opened the final day of Paris Fashion Week with a fetish-inspired collection as the models stepped out of three elevators onto the catwalk. Kate Moss made a rare catwalk appearance as she closed the show in a rubberised lace jacket, joining an impressive lineup that included Amber Valletta, Carolyn Murphy, and Naomi Campbell. The collection involved statement outerwear with beautiful dropped shoulder coats along with cashmere sweaters, Peter Pan collars, and sheer skirts. Front-row guests included Emma Stone and Natalia Vodianova. The sexual theme of the collection was confirmed with stockings and handcuff accessories.
Trends: Statement outerwear, fetish, round shoulders, Peter Pan collars.
Colours: Black, white, red, and blue.
Key Looks: Rubber lace jacket with fuzzy mongolian sleeves and barely there shorts.
Accessories: Clutch bags attached to chunky cuffs, large embossed bags, police hats, and platform boots.
Who Would Wear It: Strong, powerful women.

Get a Messy Bun
Sexy, messy buns are extremely hot right now, and so easy to pull off. Perfect for bad hair days, lazy days, and pretty much any day you want! They look great during the day, at night, at work, school, whatever you want! Here’s how to pull off a messy bun.
Start off by sweeping the front part of your hair to one side as to create a fuller crown area. Use your fingers along with a paddle brush to direct both sides to the back of the head.
Gather your hair into a loose pony and secure with an ouchless elastic (sides and back). The base of the pony should rest in the middle of the back of the head. Push your pony up slightly to create fullness at the top of your head. Add some hairspray.
Separate the pony into one inch sections, curling each section loosely. You don’t have to do this very carefully, as it is a messy bun, and you just want to get some waves. Holding the curler for about 3 seconds should be enough, depending on the hair thickness.
After each section is curled, use a bobby pin to secure the curl loosely against your scalp. When pinning the curls, make sure that you pin some at the top as to form an even and balanced shape.
Once you’ve finished pinning the curls, use your fingers to gently loosen up the curls, making it look messy. Finish off with a little bit of hair spray and you have a sexy, messy bun!

Short Shorts
Bare your legs this summer with the hottest item yet: short shorts! They’re irresistibly cute and no one can resist them! They can be dressed up or dressed down, and they’re very fun to accessorize with. Just keep in mind that although they are this summer’s must have fashion item, they don’t necessarily work for everyone. Short shorts reveal a lot of leg skin, so if you’re not pleased with your legs, stay clear of them.
Short shorts will be a hot item this spring and summer. With beautiful pastel colors, they look fabulous during the day as well as at night.
During the day, wear short shorts with a pair of wedges. They give you a little bit of height and make your legs look a mile long as well! As for the top, don’t wear anything short as the shorts are already baring enough skin.
At night, short shorts in metallics and darker colors look amazing with a pair of stilettos, knee-high boots or sandals. Pair the shorts with a glitzy top and a big bag. You’ll look absolutely ravishing!
