Summer is right around the corner—is your wardrobe prepared? I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for summer (which may or may not mean I need to get a life) and have already been envisioning every single outfit I’ll be wearing during the 90+ day season.
But with SO much out there to chose from, having a little handy guide to help you sort out what to get is helpful, right? stylebomb.net1. Neon. Can I just go ahead and admit that I’m super obsessed with the neon trend and that I hope it never ever goes away? I’m talking neon nails, shoes, watches, sneakers, shorts, undies—-I want it all! Plus it’s such an easy trend to indulge in.
Think neons don’t flatter your coloring? Hey, we all can’t look good in every incarnation of a color, but you CAN work in colors that aren’t your best by wearing them away from the face.

2. Statement Necklace. So say you’re so over all the clothes in your wardrobe, but you don’t necessarily have the time nor money to just do an overhaul and buy all new duds. How else do you jazz things up without going broke? The statement necklace! It works on everyone and adds some variety to your wardrobe.
I added a By Malene Birger leather necklace to a nothing special outfit consisting of an ASOS blazer, H&M tank, and black skinny jeans I’ve had since forever and all of a sudden, things get interesting.
3. Prints. Whether you use them to accent your solids or mixed them together, prints are big this summer. And within reason—the season’s biggest prints like floral, polka dots, and tribal add an element of interest that updates just about any look.
4. Tangerine. It is the color of the year after all! This bold, punchy hue is dying to be in your summer wardrobe whether it’s in the form of a blouse, dress, shorts, shoes, bangles, bag–well, I’m sure you get it…lol.

manrepeller.com5. Sporty Chic. Who knew those terrible gym shorts we wore in the 80s would come back and be fashionable? I’m kind of really digging the sporty chic trend mostly because it’s the way I like to dress most of the time (thereby why I am still single). You don’t have to be dressed like Sue Sylvester from head-to-toe to indulge in this trend—you can simply add in elements like the cool new high tops that have hit the scene or pretty much check out anything Alexander Wang.
I’m all in with the athletic trend—I totally rock these red Adidas high tops and often.
And these Alexander Wang sandals I spotted at the Barneys New York Outlet at Tanger Outlets were so going to be mine if they didn’t bite my toes. *sigh*. Hopefully a more fitting pair will show up on The Outnet.
