J. CREW FALL - Lookbook

File this whole story under "looks I will be copying" I am so beyond impressed with the Fall/Winter 2010 collection! J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons described the look as "Edie Beale goes to Girl Scout camp" to think that she was inspired by "Little Edie" from Grey Gardens sets my world on fire! This collection which takes the traditional boyfriend jeans, khaki's and cardigan look that J. Crew is famous for and layers it endlessly with tweed, broaches, hats and belts. For men, double denim looks fantastic, patched jeans are present and again J. Crew layers with their sweaters and jackets to keep with their core customer. This non-traditional showing was at Milk Studios in New York and is a great way to view a line in it's totality.

A few designer: Carolina, Versace and Thakoon

Versace Resort 2012 puts on new spin on the classic black and white. Thakoon Panichgul is a very wise man. Light yellows, sparkling details, and stylish silhouettes make up Carolina Herrera Resort 2012 was a dramatic display of fun dresses with fluttering fabrics and uncharacteristic patterns. 

3.1 Phillip Lim Resort 2012 had satin, effortless dressing, jumpers, ruched pants, printed tops, and a gradient dress. 

The Burberry Prorsum Resort 2012 collection had mustard yellows, and turquiose blues. It's also nice to see alternates of the trench. 

Narciso Rodriguez Resort 2012 is not a quick buy off the rack, these looks are for master stylists and people who truly understand fashion 

Resort is a fun time of year full of bright colors and sexy swimwear. DVF shows us the best of the best.

Topshop Lookbook Once Again Brings the Runway to the Masses

 

Count on Topshop to instantly take to the big runway trends like viruses to their host cells, if you will.Regardless, if you're looking for Balmain's sequined minidresses, Dolce's big, shaggy "fur" coats,Rodarte's shredded knits, and, of course, those stellar thigh-high boots (somehow looks suspiciously amazing on the model...but we won't believe it 'til we see it in person!) at decent prices, Topshop will be your mecca this fall. The lookbook even has a little homage to New York with a section called "Manhattan Cocktail," which is a hodge-podge of going-out looks. Meanwhile, the "Highland Fling" section features that kind of rugged, bundled-up cool Opening Ceremony also copped in their fall lookbook. Finally, we're seeing another Edie Sedgwick revival in the leopard-print, brocade minidresses, and heavily-rimmed eyes. But then again, when isn't there one of those? Millen Magese dazzles in Jewel by Lisa | View the Autumn/Winter 2012 Lookbook

At the 2011 ARISE Magazine Fashion Week in Lagos, Tanzanian model Millen Magese opened the JBL show with a dramatic strut down the runway. Therefore, it is no surprise that the model takes on the starring role in the lookbook for Jewel by Lisa’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection.

For the lookbook, the collection has been edited and we are presented with the most showstopping pieces. While the recent J Label diffusion line is targeted at “the girl next door”, this collection is for the “girl on tour”, with the sequined drainpipe pants and lots of prints paired with prints, this collection will unleash your inner rock chick!
