Kelis -- Spanked Over $5,000 Hair Job

Kelis just got smacked over a $5,000 hair weave. Yes folks, 3 zeroes.

Kelis got the weave at a fancy schmancy Santa Monica salon back in May 2009 but, according to legal docs, the singer never coughed up the dough.

This morning, the stylist showed up for the trial, but Kelis didn't ... so the judge entered a default judgment for the full amount.

No word if Kelis will ask for an extension from the court.

Balmainia

Love this look, so gathered a few images that i though captured it:

I think these heavy dark items rock

On the flipside, I have always been a sucker for the Little White Dresses that pop up every season. Kindof "Groupie Goes To A Garden Party" dont you think?

Their infamous distressed skinnies have been hot property for seasons now - I particularly love the pairs with the detail at the knees.
Left to Right: Zip-detail Narrow Jeans, Stonewash Biker Jeans, Distressed Denim Jeans.

That sequined top is undoubtably one of my favorite pieces ever - from the Spring 08 collection (one of my all time most loved collections from anyone ever) it is surprisingly timeless and trans-seasonal. I'm not gonna lie, I would wear this with EVERYTHING.

That black lace tee with killer shoulders from Spring 09 is also an all time favorite, and likewise would actually be super wearable (as opposed with uber-embellished mini dresses).

And while I love their OTT animal print jackets, that tee grabs me a lot more - simplicity, comfort etc.
Left to Right: Leopard Print T-Shirt, Leopard Print Leather Jacket, Zebra-print Calfskin Blazer.

Not sure of the tie-dye!

I love all the detail shots - the beadwork, sequins and mesh are dreamy.

Pleats please

I'm fully digging pleated pants at the moment - it took me a while to warm up to these, but now I'm a full blown (paid up and carded) fan. Here are a few outfits.

I love pairing such a masculine pant with pieces that have have fun, feminine embellishment like sequins and bows - whilst still letting the cut and strength of the pant take centre stage. I love them paired with an endearingly frumpy "serious bag" - solid, reliable.
Top Row: Boy By Band Of Outsiders Double Pleat Pants, Topshop Sequin Crop Vest, Marsell Open Toe Back Strap Low Boots.
Middle Row: Chloe Bow Embellished Suede Pumps, Boy By Band Of Outsiders Paperbag Pant, Lanvin Gloria Leather Bag.
Bottom Row: Topshop Striped Gold Button Cardi, Chloe Small Marlow Top Handle, Alexander Wang Sheer Back Sweatshirt,

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart: when will the speculations stop?

As the release date of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is nearing the speculation of the actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart being a couple is notching up a bit further. The media and the tabloids cannot get enough of the, and even a mere friendly touch or holding hands and kisses are now being blown out of proportion and are termed as these new love birds cannot seem to be apart from each other.

But people here is a news flash, these two young actors happen to be working together. From the time they have become famous they have been working together and they will be continuing to do so since the Summit Entertainment is planning on two part finale of the Twilight series, Twilight: Breaking Dawn. Their Twilight films also takes them together for promoting so spotting them together at pubs or some social places shouldn’t be uncommon.

These two are just young people, who like any regular person can hang out and have fun, even kiss each other for fun. But for these speculations one cannot deny the publicity that their films garner. One can only hope that people stop spreading such rumours like the couple are searching for a house together, or Robert is not interested in settling down with Kristen. These two actors have quite a long way to go, give them the space to breath, even they are afraid of being judged if Kristen’s recent interview is anything to go by.

NYC: Proenza Schouler

Proenza Schouler is not just one of my favourite American labels, it's one of my favourite labels period. There's always something in their collections I lust after (most recently the PS1 bag) as Jack and Lazaro have that Marc Jacobs-like ability to tap into anything and everything cool.
The A/W collection
was cool (and had a front row to rival Rodarte, with Nicole Richie, Selma Blair and Mary-Kate Olsen) but also presented me with my ideal winter dress.

See, I don't particularly like to wear jeans or trousers of any sort. Dresses are my thing, but in the winter it's hard to find styles that are warm (think sleeves retailers!) and still pretty. Winter dresses tend to fall into two categories: long sleeved but black/grey/navy or pretty print but more appropriate for LA than London. Proenza have bridged that gap - now I just need the budget to buy this entire collection.

And the comments to go with

I loved two of the editorials; quirky, fresh and a new spin on classic pieces. (few months old im afraid but the looks are pretty timeless)

"Paris Match"
Love the high waisted pleat pants combined with cropped shirt proportions. The perfect way to balance.

On the other end of the spectrum is the long blazers, short shorts and leather. Love the juxtaposition of the manly, refined blazers with leather and bare legs.

"Old Glory"
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a total Chanel fiend. I even love the blatantly logo-tastic nature it often has. Therefore I love the tongue-in-cheek label bashing irony of this editorial. It should all be too much but it's actually too good.

Why Demi Moore Prefers Pumas to Cougars & Other Revelations in Harper's Bazaar

Demi moore harpers bazaar

In the April issue of Harper's Bazaar, the preternaturally young-looking hottie dishes on a variety of topics:

- why pumas trump cougars: "It [Puma] has a sweeter quality, more elegant...Cougar has become so distasteful. I really hate that expression."

- McQueen's designs: "McQueen was a genius. I was always thrilled to wear his clothes because they were more than fashion; they were truly works of art."

- the insta-heat between her & hubby, Ashton: "I knew it had the potential to be something special right away. It was like meeting somebody that I've just known where you just recognize one another. It was so disproportionate, the level of emotion we were experiencing to the time we had spent together. But when you don't know someone, you can't just jump and say, 'I love you.' 'Nice to meet you, I love you!' Yeah. No. We used to end our calls or emails with 'And everything we don't say.' It just seemed too much, too soon."

Agyness Deyn Makes Fashionable Film Debut

In her first short film, Mean to Me, British supermodel Agyness Deyn plays a 1930s courtesan faced with tough decisions in Manhattan. Her Zac Posen gowns, Mikimoto pearls and Guerlain makeup, however, are anything but hard knock. "I'm deeply inspired by 1930s cinema, and I wanted to create a story in which the female protagonist is a beautiful, glamorous woman with an intense, multi-faceted personality," said director Peter McGough. Deyn used his guidance to inspire her performance in the 13-minute film: "Seeing [Peter's] passion for the 1930s was like jumping into a time machine. He provided huge insight into the time," said the model. Mean to Me screens at NYC's Cheim & Reid gallery on March 4 before making the rounds at international film festivals.
