How to Look Your Best During Gym Class
Do you want to look good working out? Here is how.
- Do not combine a sweat shirt with sweat pants; wear sweats and a t-shirt or shorts and a t-shirt.
- If you have a good figure do not be afraid to show it off
- Don't think that investing in sexy sports wear is a waist of money - if you feel good in the gym your work out will be easier and you may want to even stay longer to show of your new kit
- If you go swimming Remember to shave
- Wear your hair in a ponytail. If you are following "The Plastic's" dress code, wear your hair in a headband. If you leave it down, it may become a mess.
- Always keep a brush in your locker.
- Always keep deodorant in your locker. Having really bad body odor is awful. People will not appreciate it when you are playing a sport and your arm is up, as you will stink.
- Buy a pair of cute tennis shoes to keep in your locker.
Tips
- Always smile
- Bring hairspray so you can keep your hair in place.
- Keep a spare makeup bag in your gym bag, include shampoo, conditioner etc.
- Avoid wearing jewellery to gym, as it may be damaged or broken.
- Bring a towel so you can wipe away sweet
- Always bring water
- Bring an Ipod it makes time go a lot faster

Dirty Laundry - A quick tip
Do you ever get mysterious marks on your clothes? Or do you ever have a fabric marking pen or pencil that won’t wash out?
I used to use hairspray as a last resort when everything including OxyClean just wouldn’t remove make-up stains from my clothes or any annoying “mystery” stains.
Then I remembered that it was the alcohol in the hairspray that was dissolving the stain.
So…the next time I tried the most concentrated alcohol-based stuff we had in the house….”Hand Sanitizer” ! It was much more convenient to use than hairspray, I just had to pump it on and rub it into the stain, then toss the clothing into the washer along with a regular load. And to my surprise..it worked ! So now I keep a bottle of “Hand Sanitizer” in the laundry area for those pesky stubborn stains. So far, it hasn’t affected the color of any fabric I’ve tried using it on, but of course, check in a hidden area to make sure that it doesn’t adversely affect the cloth.

How to Pack for a Trip to Africa
Going to Africa? We will help you to know what to pack.
- Know which documents to take. At a minimum, you should have the following:
- Passport
- Visas - ask your passport office what visas are required for the relevant African countries for someone of your citizenship. Do this well in advance (in case you need to wait for visas).
- Travel insurance
- Cash - do not rely on being able to use automatic teller machines when traveling. Some places may not have them and others may not be functioning. Always have a second source of money. It also helps to have small US notes to give to people as tips, thank yous and to buy small articles.
Clothing:
- Choose appropriate clothing. For most African countries, lightweight clothing that can handle humidity and heat are suitable. But don't forget the right gear for colder climate times too, such as winter in Morocco or climbing into mountain regions.
- Pack. The following list is a helpful indicator to guide your packing:
- 1 long sleeved shirt
- 2 light long trousers
- 2 skirts/dresses
- 3 T-Shirts
- 2 shorts
- 1 swimsuit
- 1 small towel (get the type that is really small and expands with water, or choose camping/bike towels which are small but efficient; great for removing sweat)
- 1 hat
- 3 pairs of socks
- Cotton underwear and socks

Be sure to know the proper precautions and to take the right medication, including adequate amounts of medication that you take regularly. Also take scripts with you in case you are questioned for holding medication.
